Formed through layered pours of fluid acrylic, Painted Canyon emerged as pigments moved under gravity, separating and settling across the surface. The patterns recall eroded stone, mineral veins, and channels carved by water and heat, suggesting forces working beneath the surface.

Rather than depicting a landscape, the painting evokes a process — accumulation, pressure, and slow transformation — where color behaves like sediment and time becomes visible.
